Storm sewer, wastewater, water main and road rehabilitation on Janisse Drive and Ontario Street

Sewer, watermain and road rehabilitation on Janisse Drive from Wyandotte Street to Raymond Avenue, and on Ontario Street from St. Mary’s Boulevard to Riverside Baseball Park. Approximately 885m of vitrified clay and concrete pipe will be replaced. New sanitary will be 300mm Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and storm will be 375mm, 450mm and 600mm reinforced concrete pipe. 47 properties will be impacted by replacement of failing pipes. Road will be reinstated once construction is complete. A small section of the road will be realigned and widened, the costs for which will be funded by the City. Other contribution funding is from Windsor Utilities Commission for water main work. Additional word includes: Storm Sewer relining and road rehabilitation. Approximately 143m of 900mm and 1050mm diameter concrete pipe is in need of relining to sustain the system and serviceability. Waiting could result in full reconstruction of the sewer which is disruptive and costly. Approximately 250 properties are serviced by these pipes. The road will be rehabilitated at the same time as the relining work is occurring.
