Stormwater Drainage System Upgrade in Al Khawaneej

Dubai Municipality has announced a project to upgrade the stormwater drainage system in the Al Khawaneej area. The project involves evaluating the current drainage system, identifying deficiencies, and implementing solutions to meet present and future stormwater demands. It includes installation of new stormwater pipelines up to 1,600 mm in diameter, data collection, site investigations, and assessments. The project also emphasizes sustainable drainage solutions such as SuDS and nature-based approaches, with the contractor responsible for design, approvals, and construction oversight.
