Stormwater Network Adaptation Project

This project involves incorporating green infrastructure in road reconstruction projects, mitigating erosion in watercourses and expanding stormwater facility capacity. It is comprised of the construction, rehabilitation and expansion of eight types of assets (e.g., water courses, stormwater facilities, storm sewers, dikes, etc.) as part of the city’s Integrated Stormwater Management Master Plan. The natural asset that is part of this project is the naturalization of a floodway. The project seeks to improve the capacity to manage stormwater during extreme rainfall events and reduce the risk and impacts of flooding in the community.
