Description | Strait Shores (Village of Port Elgin) is in need of an additional municipal water source in addition to the existing water system which is fed by two wells: the Riverside Well and the Mitton well. Currently, the municipality is only able to use its Mitton Well due to the high turbidity levels in the Riverside Well. Several unsuccessful efforts have been made to lower the turbidity level in the Riverside Well, and now replacement is essential. This project will include: - Preliminary investigations and EIA - Construction and testing of a new well - Connection to existing water system with new watermain and other related works. |
