Description

Description

In the cross-border area concerned, the construction industry has been weakened by the loss of 30% of its companies and 50% of its workers. In order to make enterprises more efficient and competitive, a strategic change is required, based on innovation in the productive processes and also in the form of organisation. The majority of companies are SMEs and the challenge lies in overcoming their resistance to change, facilitating the implementation of innovative initiatives focussed on becoming more competitive. The project is directed at designing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy in terms of technical, organisational and pedagogical innovation, that is ongoing and stable over time (through a distributed virtual centre). It aims to be the instrument to drive the implementation of new models based on innovation, collaborative work and interoperability between all the players involved in the life cycle of any construction project. The main beneficiaries of the project will be all those companies and workers in the construction sector in the cross-border region. The project will enrich the business fabric, by proposing common strategies for technical and pedagogical development and between administrations. Its great novelty lies in the proposal for a change in productive model to a collaborative sector-based approach, with the strong involvement of companies and the administration, and with innovation and professional qualifications as a spearhead.
