Astra Microwave Products Limited has delivered the Active Antenna Array Unit (AAAU), a sophisticated naval radar component designed for maritime and terrestrial applications, to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for final trials. The radar system is optimized for maritime surveillance and air defence, capable of identifying, tracking, and neutralizing aerial and surface threats at extended distances. It uses Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology for fast, reliable, and jam-resistant radar beam steering. The project is transitioning from development to field and integration trials before operational clearance.
