Description

Description

The project consists of constructing a new 300,000 US gallon water storage reservoir in the Town of Stratford, Prince Edward Island. The Town of Stratford currently has a 200,000 US gallon water reservoir constructed in 2001 and located at 45 Georgetown Road. The town population has increased from 5,000 to 10,000 residents in the last 10 years. The town forecasts extensive growth both commercially and residentially over the next 10 to 20 years which requires additional water storage, working in tandem with the existing reservoir, to ensure continuous supply and proper pressure of potable water to the utility customers at all times. The scope of the work includes the construction of a new 300,000 US gallon storage reservoir and associated piping, valves and appurtenances alongside the existing reservoir. The new reservoir will operate in tandem with the existing 200,000 US gallon reservoir to serve the needs of the town. The project will benefit the community by ensuring a continuous supply and adequate pressure of potable water to all utility customers as the town faces a forecasted growth in population and additional demand from the commercial sector.
