Description

Description

This project will involve the construction of an approximate 100KW ground-mounted, grid-tied, solar array, mounted to a steel pipe framing system with concrete bases and the associated underground electrical to distribute the energy collected by the solar grid. The solar field will be situated on the Stratford Community Campus, the future hub of Stratford which will include sports and cultural facilities and amenities, along with an active transportation network of trails and green spaces for our growing, diverse community. The Town will build the campus to be net-zero, by providing solar power to all infrastructure servicing the site, and requiring all buildings on the property to be constructed and operated as net-zero. Including this solar power system on the campus will reduce the Town’s demand for electricity, and increase its renewable, clean energy resources.
