Stratos Project Data Center

approved with phased buildout

The Stratos Project is a massive data center development approved for 40,000 acres in northern Utah's Hansel Valley. It will be split between three parcels of land and require 9 gigawatts of energy to power artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and national security. The project will generate power onsite, use a closed-loop cooling system to preserve water, and is expected to cost over $100 billion by completion. Initial phase covers fewer than 2,000 acres, with the first gigawatt operational within two years. The project aims to provide significant economic benefits to Box Elder County and support military readiness.
