Description | Street Harmony: theater dynamics to foster intercultural dialogue and address gender-based discriminations in EURO-MED area project aims to contribute to transnational creation and circulation of EURO-MED works and artists and to co-production of artistic outputs aiming to address social issues, in particular gender-based discrimination, dealing with it as a common issue, while at the same time recognizing its specificities linked to particular local contexts. The SOs are: 1: to increase EURO-MED artists' theatrical skills and knowledge about gender-based discrimination, through an in-presence training and exchange of knowledge and experiences, promoting intercultural dialogue. 2: to promote and support international relations through culture and arts, among countries that might have different cultural backgrounds, yet belonging to the same, inevitably intertwined EURO-MED area. 3: to raise awareness among involved EURO-MED societies and citizens on the importance and effectiveness of culture and arts, as means to express, communicate and spread knowledge about gender-based discrimination. The partnership si composed by CEFA, CEFA Tunisie as its Affiliated Entity, Amaka NGO from Greece and CCAB from Tunisia as partners, and the project structure is divided into 4 WPs: 1:Project management and coordination 2:Gender equality and Artist Residency: a 5 days workshop will be held in Greece, 3:Creation of Street Harmony and country-specific caravan tour: each troupe will create a country-specific Street Harmony performance and will engage in a gender-equality awareness caravan tour 4:Communication and dissemination events The Street Harmony project with its goal to address gender based discrimination in 3 EUROMED countries, its commitment to employ interactive theatrical approaches, and a clear strategy for short, medium, and long-term impact, aims to catalyze cultural change and promote social inclusion in the EU and the Mediterranean region. |
