"StreetArt for RIGHTS is an urban arts festival that fights discrimination and sensibilizes to sustainable development through participatory and innovative workshops and performances. The festival bounces in Italy, Greece, France over a three-year cycle, contributing to resilience of the cultural sector in the pandemic context. 6 Creative workshops in Italy, Greece, and France involve citizens and artists in a participatory and inclusive process. Each creative workshop focuses on issues linked to social inclusion and/or environment sustainability, leading to the design of artworks and performances from street culture artists, nurtured by citizens’ contributions, concerns, solutions, questions and considerations. Best practices are identified, documented and shared by partners during 6 cross-fertilization seminars. The artistic creations which result from the workshops are exhibited in three StreetArt for RIGHTS festivals, welcoming audiences and artists from European countries in order to give visibility to the citizen-driven creations. The festivals involve artists from various disciplines from street culture arts. A call for proposals welcomes contributions from citizens and artists (participants to I Portunus are given the priority to bring their talent). The opening Festival in Rome, Italy, will inaugurate 4 StreetArt works in the popular neighbourhood of Corviale, setting the tone of this European open-air museum. The Greek edition of StreetArt for RIGHTS invites participants to discover the social and artistic fabric of Thessaloniki, while the ""bouquet final"" of StreetArt for RIGHTS invades the fertile space of Transfert in Rezé, France. Year-round, the permanent call for proposals identifies inspiring contributions from citizens and artists to take action for a more inclusive and sustainable Europe, while the ""European Active Story-telling"" disseminates citizen-driven contributions and artistic interpretations on these common challenges."
