STREETSCAPE IN MOULTRIE - PHASE III

This project is Phase III of the "Downtown Moultrie Streetscape" which will enhance the utility , safety, and attractiveness of the pedestrian experience. The proposed project will add landscape, install period street lighting, and make operational and aesthetic improvements to pedestrian systems and crossing areas. The improvements will increase the economic viability and enhance the character of the area. The project will complete the streetscape improvements to various streets making up eight blocks that surround the courthouse square in downtown Moultrie. All of these streets are either part of, or adjacent to or very near SR 37, SR 33, or US 319 Business. The construction will consist of replacing existing sidewalk,lighting,and plant life to expand the completed improvements that have been installed in an ongoing effort to provide better ped access to and beautify downtown Moultrie. Landscaped trees will be added for beautification in tree wells between the curb and sidewalk.
