Description | The overall objective of the project "Strenghtening Capacities of Fire Brigades in Fight with Pandemics and Infectious Diseases" - to enhance the level of security in Lithuania-Poland crossborder area by strengthening capacities of fire brigades in fight against challenges caused by COVID-19 pandemic or any other outbreak of infectious disease through development of long-lasting partnership and cooperation between fire fighting and rescue services in Giby and Kaunas district, development of necessary infrastructure, purchase of essential equipment and improvement of capabilities of volunteer firefighters during joint trainings. In order to improve Polish and Lithuanian firefighters' knowledge and skills, to ensure better crisis management as well as on-time and well-managed actions during real rescue operations under pandemic conditions, a series of joint trainings, simulations and demonstration of rescue operation are foreseen. ease, chemical, technical disaster by improving material base and infrastructure of fire brigades. |
