Strenghtening of capabilities of Polish and Lithuanian fire rescue services in cooperative actions

The project consists of: - training of fire brigade officers from Poland and Lithuania in the field of rescue operations on water, - organization of joint water rescue exercises for fire brigade officers from Poland and Lithuania, - organization of rescue camps for Lithuanian youth raising awareness about water hazard situations. The overall objective of the project is to increase the capacity of PL and LT rescue services to manage and manage activities that protect people and the environment from cross-border water hazards. Detail objectives: 1. The increase the number of PL and LT firemans with the skills and qualifications to conduct rescue operations. 2. The increase the number of PL and LT firemans with the skills and qualifications to conduct cross-border rescue cooperation. 3. The increase of public awareness in Marijampole and Alytus Countys about water hazards and coping with crisis situations. Beneficiaries of the project are the provincial fire brigade headquarterss administering the actions of local rescue and firefighting units in the Suwalski subregion in Poland and the Marijampole and Alytus regions in Poland and Lithuania, Lithuanian local and regional authorities and young people from Lithuania. The total budget of the project is 49.997,40 EUR.
