Strenghtening of the Finnish National Network

Objective - The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the Finnish national network and to further develop its working methods and activities, in order to ensure effective, coherent and rightly focused information and knowledge sharing of the EU judicial cooperation and of the tools and the activities of the EJN network to the Finnish legal practitioners. Activities - Data gathering about chosen EU civil law instruments (this includes e.g. interviews, questionnaires and key word searches) - Arranging two three-day study visits in Finland and Italy - Creating guidance of good practices for the national networks about activities and cooperation in the field of EU civil justice - Organizing two one-day networking seminars for the members of the Finnish national network Type of persons benefiting from the project - The organisations of the members of the Finnish national network - The Finnish national network - Italian national network - Ministry of Justice, Finland - EJN - Other national networks Expected results - Information about what kind of statistical data is currently available in the Finnish courts regarding the application of the EU civil law instruments - More information about the use of chosen EU civil law instruments in the Finnish courts and and about the visibility of the European Judicial Network in Civil and Commercial Matters and the Finnish national network in Finland - Improved cooperation and enhanced mutual trust and understanding between the judicial authorities working in the field of EU civil justice. - Active and well-functioning national network which contributes to better European wide cooperation in the area of EU civil justice. - Better networking skills and increased capacity of the network members to address issues related to judicial cooperation in civil matters Type and number of deliverables to be produced - Questionnaire for collecting data - Final report of data gathering - Guidance leaflet - Two national training seminars - Two study visits - One info day (Lakimiespäivät 2019) - Info sessions (MoJ and EJN)
