Objective of the project "Strengthening cooperation on crisis management and security in the LT-PL area" is to strengthen public administration and increase cross-border cooperation between of Dobrzyniewo Duże and Pagegiai, to increase the level of life and health safety of residents and availability of high quality public services in the cross border region. This will be achieved through joint activities to improve the skills of people involved in crisis management (8 events), training for children (5 events), prevention and awareness-raising activities (7 events), elderly, socially disadvantaged and at risk of social exclusion, and through the development of infrastructure necessary for cross-border services (2 vehicles, 2 buildings) equipment for protection against COVID-19. The project is a continuation of the implemented Project under the 3rd INTERREG V-A LT-PL call for proposals. It will contribute to more effective cross-border administrative cooperation in crisis and pandemic management. It fits into the idea of cross-border cooperation by increasing the participation of further social groups. Achieving the above mentioned objectives will allow to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants by increasing the feeling of security of people in the LT-PL border region, which will positively influence the social and economic development of the region. The project will contribute to strengthening the ability to react quickly in case of a crisis.
