The principal objectives are i) to structure and maintain institutional memory, thus facilitating the work of the legislature; ii) to implement a strategy for communication by the Congress with the rest of the public sector, and with the private sector and civil society organizations; iii) to develop a priority legislative agenda, and iv) to promote, as appropriate, inclusion of the gender perspective in new legislation.
