Description | Objectives Identifying, promoting and strengthening juvenile justice systems’ policy responses and specialised programming to face terrorism and violent extremism in juveniles. Practices will be evaluated based on evidence and on their efficacy in countering radicalisation in children and juveniles Activities -Research and analytical work -Study/field visits followed by national seminars -Drafting of a regional overview report on promising policy responses and practices -Lauching and managing of an Online Community of Practice for European practitioners -Drafting of a White Paper presenting policy oriented guidelines and recommendations Type and number of persons benefiting from the project -IJJO network: juvenile justice professionals, policy-makers, judicial staff, researchers and practitioners from grassroots organisations, public sector and CSO from EU28 (6000) -Members of the IJJO think tank, the European Council for Juvenile Justice (80) -Boys, girls and juveniles in conflict with the law, at risk and involved in radical and extremists behaviors and/or groups -European organisations and networks (indirect beneficiaries) Expected results -Identification and improvement of policy responses and practices carried out by EUMS to handle the terrorist context and to prevent radicalisation and implement de-radicalisation strategies -Improved capacities and knowledge of juvenile justice professionals to face extremist phenomena and implement effective responses -Enhanced social integration and reinsertion of radicalised juveniles Type and number of outputs to be produced -National reports (10) -Conclusions of field visits and national seminars (3) -Regional overview report (printed and electronic, translated in French, German and Dutch, 500 copies) -Online Community of Practice (website) -White Paper (printed and electronic, 500 copies) -Executive Summary/flyer of the main project findings (500 copies) -Newsletters, websection and on-line promotion materials |
