Description
Description | The aim of the proposed ÜH project is to improve the food security and health situation of pregnant women and small children under 2 years of age through regular and reliable transfer payments and to contribute to the development of a social security system. Pregnant women benefit from services at health centers and support from midwives and social workers at an early stage. In addition to the long-term system development, measures to promote a balanced diet will be implemented via a cash-plus component and services will be set up at the health centers. In addition to the mandatory examinations during and after pregnancy, offers for the mothers will include vaccinations for the children and training on the topics of mother-child health, small child nutrition and family planning. The direct target group includes around 30,000 women in communities/regions of the country that have yet to be selected, who are to benefit from regular, unconditional transfer payments and additional (awareness-raising) measures in the areas of nutrition and early childhood development, hygiene and health. In addition to the women, around 30,000 small children will be reached indirectly through the project measures. |
