Description

Description

The TC seeks to strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians (SENADAP) and the Ministry of Women (MIDEM), enabling both institutions to have a greater impact on their core missions: closing critical gaps affecting the Afro-Panamanian population, and more effectively coordinating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) services in Panama. With SENADAP, the aim is to develop tools and mechanisms for inter-institutional coordination and planning to highlight and address critical gaps faced by the Afro-Panamanian population. Regarding MIDEM, the goal is to generate diagnostic studies, an action plan and build capacities of the National Committee against Violence towards Women (CONVIMU), which is chaired by MIDEM and oversees SGBV services in Panama.
