Strengthening of the anti - fraud traffic control systems at the EU external border in Slovakia

The aim of this project is to strengthen the anti - fraud control systems at the EU external border by implementation of an automated data recording of all entering and exiting vehicles across the eastern external border of EU in Slovakia through purchase of automated number-plate recognition system (ANPRS) and container code recognition system (CCRS). This system will be installed at road border crossing points (BCPs) Ubľa and Vyšné Nemecké and at the railway BCPs Čierna nad Tisou and Maťovce. The implementation of mentioned systems within this project will consist of following activities: preparation of public procurement, public procurement process, elaboration of a construction project, ensuring the necessary permits, construction of the supporting infrastructure, installation of the ANPRS and CCRS at BCPs, connection to the existing IT customs systems, test operation, training of staff and launching of operation of the systems. All phases are carefully planned with the planned involvement of experts in these areas (investment building, IT specialist, specialists for customs procedures and systems). The results and impacts will be: - increased effectiveness of customs procedures at the BCPs on the SK-UA border - improved the effectiveness of risk analysis - reduced corruption of customs officers - development of cross-border cooperation
