Strengthening of the National Statistics System

This operation foresees the institutional strengthening Dominican National Statistics System, throughout following componentes:1. - Internal strengthening of the Ruling Statistical Institution (RSI), which includes: i) Revision of the legal framework; ii) development and automatization of the personnel management system ; iii) retooling of the substantial and support processes; iv) equipment; v) rehabilitation of the physical space; vi) establishment of connectivity links with sector agencies and units, and vi) implementation of a personnel training and salary benefits system.2. - Production and articulation of the statistics produced in the country, that it includes: i) Development conceptual frameworks that will rule the production of of statistical information of the RSI (censuses and surveys); ii) development of the normative frameworks that will govern the production of statistical information by the sector agencies; and iii) inclusion of at least five high-priority sectors of the national statistic system.3. - Development of a use and dissemination platform , that includes: i) rehabilitation of the physical space and automatization of the documentation center; ii) implantation in the ER of a costumer service unit; iii) establishment of standards and continuous measurement of the level of users satisfaction of the statistics system; iv) development and imlementation of a communication and disemination system; v) training of the principal users of the statistical system in the mechanisms of accesibility to the statitistical information; and institutional strengthening and equipment to the communication and marketing division.
