Description

Description

The aim of the project is to improve access for individuals, households and communities to appropriate basic services, particularly in the areas of food security and health, as well as to improve the ability to respond to future shocks (resilience). Since resilience is a multi-sectoral concept, the aim is to improve the provision of food transfers and nutritional supplements, the supply of basic health services and access to water and sanitation for the population, while at the same time promoting the development of state capacities (especially in the areas of coordination and monitoring as well as the management of procurement and logistics, including the construction of a warehouse in Mogadishu). UNICEF and WEP complement each other by contributing activities from their specialist areas and offering these as a regionally coordinated overall package, often in shared facilities. Within the framework of the ÜH project, this cooperation is to be further deepened.
