Description

Description

The aim of the project is to complement Phase I of the project by contributing to strengthening the resilience of health facilities and the population in the project area with regard to health risks. To this end, measures to stabilize and improve access to and quality of public health facilities are being financed. The project is being implemented in a complementary manner to other approaches of German development cooperation (DC) in the health sector in Yemen. It represents an important addition to the demand-side FC voucher project for reproductive health and helps to address priority rehabilitation and equipment needs that have so far only been able to be covered to a limited extent within the framework of FC and TC projects. The project also supports isolation and dual-use wards, which is intended to improve the care of Covid-19 patients in Yemen. The project is financed from the title of transitional aid. Transitional aid funds amounting to EUR 25 million are being made available for this purpose.
