Description

Description

The aim of the project is to support structurally weak Serbian communities affected by the refugee crisis by investing in social and economic infrastructure. The focus will be on communities that host refugees or promote migration due to their weak infrastructure. By improving the living conditions of the local population and disadvantaged groups in the specific communities, the incentive to emigrate will be reduced. Similar to the first phase of the program, the locations and investment measures will be adapted to current needs. Measures may include, among other things, the construction, renovation and maintenance of kindergartens, schools, youth education centers, health facilities, public squares and parks, the procurement of waste collection vehicles and medical equipment, and investments in public transport and social housing. Social workers/mentors will be used to strengthen the inclusion and access of vulnerable groups (especially Roma) to public services in Serbia associated with the investment.
