Strengthening statistical capacity: promoting innovation in emerging issues

The TC objective is to promote the increase in statistical capacity to generate timely and adequate information on emerging and relevant issues for the region, through the use of innovative instruments, methods, and sources. To achieve this objective, the TC will support the design of data collection instruments that can be adopted and adapted by the participating countries. It will also promote the exploration of the use of new data sources in a sustainable way. The TC will focus on relevant issues to public policy in Latin America and the Caribbean in which the phenomena to be measured have evolved rapidly (such as, citizen security, labor markets, and digitalization).
