Description
Description | The Strengthening the Ecosystem of Cybersecurity in Slovenia (SECIS) project aims to reinforce the NCC in Slovenia (NCC-SI), positioning it as a pivotal hub for cybersecurity knowledge, capacity building, and collaboration. The project addresses the pressing challenges of fragmented cybersecurity information, limited capacity-building initiatives, and the growing compliance demands on critical infrastructure operators and SMEs under the NIS2 Directive. By establishing NCC-SI as a one-stop shop for cybersecurity in Slovenia, the project ensures stakeholders receive tailored support and access to critical resources for improving their cybersecurity resilience. The project’s core activities are structured around five objectives: Building a Collaborative Cybersecurity Ecosystem: Developing a stakeholder registry and fostering partnerships with academia, businesses, and public institutions to bridge gaps in Slovenia’s cybersecurity framework. Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing: Offering structured training programs, workshops, and practical tools to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of SMEs, with a focus on critical infrastructure value chains. Facilitation of Cascade Financing: Introducing a maturity-based funding mechanism to support the adoption of state-of-the-art cybersecurity measures tailored to SMEs’ specific needs. Deployment of the NCC-SI Platform: Creating a centralized digital hub for best practices, educational resources, tools, and incident reporting aligned with NIS2 Directive requirements. Strategic Awareness Activities: Promoting cybersecurity awareness and engagement across sectors, ensuring continuous improvement in national cybersecurity culture and compliance with EU legislation SECIS project directly contributes to the goals of the CRA, NIS2, and CsA. It enhances national resilience, improves SMEs’ compliance readiness, and establishes a replicable model for fostering innovation and security across diverse sectors in Slovenia and beyond. |
