Strengthening the operational capabilities of the Polish National Revenue Administration

The purpose of the project is to ensure a high level of protection of the external borders of the European Union by strengthening the operational capabilities of the Polish National Revenue Administration (NRA) in the field of non-invasive control at checkpoints and on communication routes (land, sea and air), which are part of the border infrastructure. The project provides for retrofitting with new equipment and modernization of the currently used non-invasive inspection equipment, in accordance with the verified needs of beneficiary units. The project puts an emphasis on the economic efficiency of the planned solutions, modern technologies and long life cycle of the equipment, A great value of the project is compliance with national and EU law, and promotion of pro-ecological solutions. The components provide for the purchase of stationary, mobile and handheld scanners - adapted to the specificity of border crossings as well as other equipment in accordance with the CCEI Program specification. The project consists of thematically and geographically divided work packages. Most of the funds will be allocated to equipping the Customs and Tax Offices located on the external border of the EU. An important assumption of the project is cooperation with end users, whose experience and practical knowledge, support the implementation of all tasks submitted under the project. It is expected that thanks to the implementation of the project, the Polish National Revenue Administration will be equipped with tools enabling effective protection of the European Community against external threats, in particular related to violations of the Community law on the movement of goods and persons. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the protection of the socio-economic interests of the European Union, cultural heritage and the ecosphere will be also strengthened.
