"STRIDE & GLIDE - Empowering Journeys for All Abilities"" is a project designed to make sports like running, swimming, and hiking accessible to people with disabilities. The project will kick off with training and educational sessions for individuals who work with people with disabilities, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to support inclusive sports activities. Following this, people with disabilities will be invited to participate in running, hiking, and swimming events, with modern equipment provided to facilitate their participation. The initiative will feature various events across all partner countries, promoting inclusivity and the joy of sports for everyone, regardless of ability. The Federal Association for Sport and Recreation in Bosnia and Herzegovina will lead the project, with crucial support from the Verlab Institute and associated partners, including the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education at the University of Sarajevo. International collaboration will be strong, with partners such as RegSpo from Montenegro, ACTIVA from Austria, and the Sport Embassy from Portugal, all contributing to a wide-reaching impact. Through ""Stride & Glide,"" we aim to create an environment where people with disabilities can enjoy the benefits of sports, enhancing their physical health and social integration in a supportive and empowering setting. The project has the power to change lives. By removing barriers, training professionals, and ensuring accessibility, it guarantees that PwD have equal opportunities to engage in sports. Partner organizations will strengthen their expertise, communities will become more inclusive, and policies will shift towards greater accessibility. The long-term sustainability of the project is secured through stakeholder commitments, digital learning resources, and the promotion of adaptive sports within institutions."
