The Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) enters a key transitional phase. As the 2021–2027 Strategic Plan reaches its conclusion, we build upon its achievements while setting the foundations for a new strategic cycle, aligned with evolving global challenges and EU priorities. Rooted in over a century of International Voluntary Service (IVS), CCIVS strengthens youth participation, decolonial practices, and environmental and social justice through grassroots-driven actions. Our diverse global membership connects local realities to European and international policy frameworks, ensuring inclusive, youth-led contributions to civic life. For 2026–2027, CCIVS will focus on four strategic goals: Capacity Building & Impact Research: Enhancing IVS organisations' ability to deliver transformative actions. Advocacy & Policy Influence: Amplifying youth and grassroots voices in EU and global policy spaces. Networking & Inclusive Community Building: Strengthening cooperation across regions and sectors. Organisational Resilience & Innovation: Fostering adaptive, sustainable structures for the IVS movement. Key initiatives include the Living Earth Campaign, Voices for Change, Decolonise IVS 2.0, and the C-IVS Skills project, ensuring continuity while innovating methods and expanding impact. Through participatory governance, cross-regional collaboration, and digital inclusion, CCIVS addresses EU priorities on democratic participation, youth empowerment, environmental justice, and global solidarity. This proposal marks both the culmination of our current strategic cycle (2027) and a forward-looking vision for the IVS movement towards 2030 and beyond.
