Description

Description

This Relining project (Cure in Place) is expected to rehabilitate approximately 2200 m of pipe sizes of 200/250mm and in various locations. The lining will prevent further deterioration of the host pipe and avoid any further collapses or blockages. The smoother interior lining would reduce friction factors and allow for better operation and easier cleaning and maintenance. In addition ground infiltration is reduced at these locations. This rehabilitation will be done with trenchless technology to minimize disturbance to the surrounding area and minimize restoration costs. This project involves the following streets - Pitt Street, Ross Street, Highway #17, and Duke Street. This kind of work is becoming cost prohibitive to the City unless the City puts out larger contracts as the mobilization to service Dryden is expensive. Dependent on the area these repairs could affect up to 100 homes and prevent sewer backup.
