Description

Description

The STS 14A project was qualified at the 10th PPI Council Meeting through Resolution No. 69, of 08/21/2019, converted into Decree No. 10,138, of 11/28/2019. It is a port terminal lease, located in the Organized Port of Santos/SP, dedicated to the movement of cellulose (general cargo). A new lease contract will be signed, through a bidding process in the auction format, the selection criterion of which will be the highest grant value. With an expected exploration period of 25 years. It is a paved area, with approximately 34,975 m², located in the Macuco region, on the right bank of the Port of Santos. After implementing the necessary structures, it should have a static storage capacity of 125 thousand tons of cellulose and will have the potential to move 2.6 million tons per year. Investments of approximately R$145.9 million are planned to provide the terminal with cellulose handling capacity, through demolition and preparation of the area; rigid paving for heavy traffic; installation of 670 m of internal railway extension and 02 track change devices (AMV); construction of a warehouse with approximately 30 thousand m², construction of a new public gate, acquisition of various cargo equipment, among other interventions to be carried out at the terminal. This project derives from the project qualified in the PPI, through PPI Resolution nº 52, of 05/08/2019, which aimed to prepare studies for a new lease in this area in the Port of Santos, whose former tenant had the renewal contract of the lease canceled by the TCU, through Ruling No. 1,171/2018 – Plenary. The prioritization is reinforced by the need to meet the pent-up demand destined for the Port of Santos for cellulose movement, as shown in the Santos Port Complex Master Plan.
