Description | The Stubbo Solar Project is a 400 MW (megawatt) / 520 MWp (megawatt peak) photovoltaic solar power project located in the Central West-Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. Developed by ACEN Australia and constructed by PCL Construction, it is expected to generate 1000 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean energy annually, enough to power 185,000 Australian homes. The project will also incorporate a 200 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system in a future phase. It is the first large-scale solar project in Australia certified for full circularity under the Circular PV Alliance framework, ensuring responsible lifecycle management of its photovoltaic panels. |
