Description
Description | The project “Student interdisciplinary innovations in the Czech-Bavarian region” is aimed at eliminating language and system barriers in the field of education and its adaptation to changing conditions in the common labour market. The Deggendorf Technical University (THD) and the West Bohemian University of Pilsen (WBU) will participate in the realisation with the Faculty of Health Sciences (FZS) and the Faculty of Design and the Arts Ladislav Sutnar (FDULS). The aim is to increase the competence, knowledge and skills of students through practice and thus to give them better opportunities on the labour market in both regions. A sub-theme is the joint work of the students on innovative solutions in the field of spa treatment, with the focus on improving the functioning of balneotherapeutic operations in the Czech-Bavarian border region. Implementation of the project is planned within 12 months in 5 phases: 1) July — September. From each faculty involved, qualified students will be selected who will work in the interdisciplinary teams (WBU: 9 FZS students, 3 FDULS students; THD: 8 students). 2) October — December. There are three one-day excursions to Mariánské Lázně, Bad Kötzting and Bad Füssing, with the aim of getting to know physiotherapeutic workplaces, balneotherapy, technical equipment and practical conditions, with a further 36 students participating in the WBU physiotherapy course. 3) January — May. Formation of interdisciplinary student teams of THD and WBU and definition of innovation topics for the spa and spa sector. 45 students of the FZS will complete a two-week practice at the Kurbad in order to convey the innovation potential for a better functioning of balneotherapy to the student teams. This is followed by a two-day workshop, in which three interdisciplinary teams are put together to work on the assigned topics. The teams consist of THD technology students, FDULS design students and FZS physiotherapy students. 4) February — May. Under the guidance of professional educators, students will work together on innovative solutions for the individual topics, apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and develop their competences in the field of social knowledge and skills. A two-day workshop to support teamwork will be held. 5) June. Presentation of innovative solutions. The study rends present the results of their teamwork in a workshop in which the additional 36 FZS students participate. A total of 56 students (8 THD, 48 WBU) will be involved in the project. Ten main activities are planned within a work package. The project meets the strategic guidelines at all relevant levels and combines training and practice in spa. |
