Study for PPP port projects in Africa

This study entitled "Study for Identification of PPP Port Projects in Africa", is a study supported by donors to the Fund for African Private Sector Assistance (FAPA). This study is expected to help accelerate investment in ports through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), which would improve the capacity and efficiency of the port structures needed for economic growth in Africa. To this end, a grant to cover technical assistance was provided by the above-mentioned donors to assist the Department of Transport and ICT (OITC) and the Private Sector Operations Department (OPSM) of the African Development Bank ( ADB) to identify investment opportunities and support them in specific interventions related to the selection of port projects under public-private partnerships (PPPs). Among other important components of technical assistance are the proposal for specific projects for potential AfDB financing through the private sector window, and public window projects for potential PPPs, for which Regional Member Countries authorities would be interested and could use the Bank's advisory services to facilitate their preparation.
