Study on integrating a structuring mode of transportation on Taschereau

The purpose of the study is to characterize public transit service on Taschereau Boulevard in order to assess whether alternatives to the existing modes (bus and high-frequency bus) would better meet transit demand in this sector over the medium or long term. The study will determine whether other modes can be considered to more efficiently structure public transit along this axis, improve local network connectivity to the future Metropolitan Electric Network (MEN) and enable the cities of Brossard and Longueuil to stimulate the redevelopment of this commercial artery. More specifically, the study will update the urban plan/program, assess transportation demand (both motorized and active), identify which public transit solutions should be favoured for the axis, and assess budgets and phasing.
