Description

Description

A review of journey times was conducted for the entire STS system in order to improve public transit reliability. With the standard of (-1m to +3m), the objective is to achieve an 85% reliability rate. It will be difficult to increase this percentage without adding preferential measures since a saturation point is reached. The STS must conduct a cost/benefit analysis for the addition of preferential measures (traffic signal preemption, candlestick priority lights, reserved lanes, by-pass lanes, etc.) and assess locations where preferential measures would be required as well as the conditions under which such measures would be implemented.
