The fifth cable's details are undisclosed, but an agreement was signed between Iraq's Ministry of Communications and Breeze Investments to establish a land network across the Iraqi corridor. The sixth cable, operated by Bahraini telco Batelco, is planned to land at the Alfa cable landing station by late 2026 or early 2027, as part of the Khaleej North submarine cable extension project, expanding the Al Khaleej cable system, a branch of the SeaMeWe-6 cable. |
