Description | This program is aimed to rehabilitate the running Subway Track, which includes the following activities: Replacement of curved and tangent rail sections approximating the maximum allowable half inch head or gauge face wear, corrugated and worn tangent rail and damaged track components Re-insulation of the negative and signal rails by replacing existing deteriorated rail fasteners with new insulated fastening assemblies and shims Replacement of ties in order to maintain an adequate level of safety and sustain the overall condition of the track Replace complete power rail sections in the Subway due to excessive wear and arching as required Replace existing old style insulated joints with a more reliable and safer joint based on priority Repair the sub-grade and drainage where ballast pumping re-occurs in spite of regular preventative maintenance |
