Description | Retrofit of existing workcars (15) with Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and purchase of the following types of workcars: production tamper (1), vacuum excavator (2), paper vacuum workcar (1) and crane flatcar (2). Retrofit: Accelerated replacement of subway workcars and replacement vehicles, to assist with the maintenance of subway systems, and retrofit to operate on Line 1 to maintain state of good repair of Subway Infrastructure. This includes retrofitting of 12 existing workcars so they can operate in areas with Automated Train Control which is being introduced onto line 1 in 2017 with full operation in 2019. |
