Description

The Capacity Building for Enhanced Gender Participation in Peace and Economic Activities (CB – EGPPEA) is aligned with Republic of Sudan Government’s policies to create enabling environment for peace reduce regional inequalities and promote gender equality since 2015. The project serves to advance women’s skills enhance their productivity in agriculture and raises awareness and recognition of need for a larger involvement of women in decision making and for their voices to be heard. The implementation of the project involves the peace Centers in Darfur, which are expected to participate in delivering training packages and in organizing dialogue the centers will conduct training workshops and seminars to create awareness on the role that women can play in the peace process. The ultimate purpose is to help achieving sustainable economic development through consolidating Pease building trust and confidence among population and improving the means of living. The project consists of the following components: (i) Building Women Capacity for Peace Consultation Process; (ii) Enhancing Capacity for Women in Agriculture; (iii) Capacity for actual Project management.
