Description | Summerlin Studios was a proposed 31-acre film studio campus in Southern Nevada, a joint venture among Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros. Discovery, and developer Howard Hughes Holdings. The project aimed to expand the state's film tax credit program from $10 million to $95 million annually for 15 years, starting in 2028, contingent on studio development. The studio and neighboring campus near Town Center Drive and Flamingo Road were projected to bring a $3 billion economic impact upon completion. The bill to support this project, Assembly Bill 238, did not receive a Senate vote and died at the end of the 2025 Nevada legislative session. |
