Description

Description

The project will provide modifications to the Sun Peaks Community Health Centre located in Sun Peaks. Modifications are needed to improve the location where patients enter the facility, are triaged, treated and/or transferred to Royal Inland Hospital via land or air ambulance. COVID-19 modifications are required. The Centre will also include a community learning centre for health prevention and promotion education and training. The Sun Peaks Health Association and community worked for more than 20 years to raise the funds needed to build the Sun Peaks Health Centre. Funding limitations at the time prevented completing an enclosed ambulance bay and patient transportation storage area. Increasing demand for healthcare, the need for more space to meet COVID-19 protocols and the need to improve safety of patient transfers have become paramount. The project works include: -earth works/demolition; -foundation/concrete; -framing and exterior finish; -interior; -electrical/mechanical/HVAC; and - all related works
