The facility will be located on 50 acres just south of Sunnyside and is expected to produce about 650,000 MMBtu of RNG annually, which is more than three times the output of the current largest manure digester in the US. The project is intended to reduce pollution from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), create 30 full-time jobs, and capture 95% of methane emissions from manure lagoons. |
