Description | The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (Pa. DEP) is responding to a pipeline leak operated by Sunoco, Energy Transfer in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County. Approximately 260 gallons of jet fuel have been recovered, but more is believed to have been released. The DEP is coordinating corrective actions and enforcement with Energy Transfer, requesting a full site characterization report and additional testing and monitoring wells to assess contamination and toxic vapor risks. The pipeline continues to operate at reduced pressure while remediation efforts continue. |
