The project involves the construction, financing and operation of a 168-MW solar PV farm located in Ninh Thuan Province. The joint venture gives Sunseap a majority stake in the project, with InfraCo and CMX RE Canada joining as minority partners. Upon commissioning in June 2019, it is expected to generate enough clean power for up to 200,000 homes. Sponsors will be allowed to sell solar power generated by its solar farm to Vietnam’s national grid at the mandated solar feed-in tariff of ¢9.35 per kilowatt hour for the next 20 years, provided they complete the delivery of clean energy to the grid by June 2019. Total investment is estimated at $192.3 million. No further financing details are available as of July 2018.
