It consists of 916 turbines with a capacity of 3.5 GW, transmitting power over an 885-km line from New Mexico to California, supplying electricity to around 3 million people in California and Arizona. The project uses advanced HVDC technology for efficient long-distance power delivery and has received $11 billion in financing from Pattern Energy. Turbine deployment is complete, and the project is nearing full commercial operation. |
