Support for Improvement of Solid Waste Management

The objective of this TC is to support the Government of Jamaica (GOJ) in defining its long-term solution for solid waste management in Jamaica through the formulaton of plans required for the preparation of a viable business case for a public private partnership (PPP) for a reputable private investor to design, build, finance, maintain and operate the waste collection, transportation, recycling, treatment, and final disposal services for Jamaica. Specifically, the TC aims to assist the GOJ with the preparation of closure plans and designs for Riverton Disposal Site, preparation of studies to support the business case, and the re-orientation of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) to support the preparation of a viable business case for improvement of solid waste management in Jamaica.
