Description

The aim of the FC measures is to help alleviate the effects of the onset of drought in Ethiopia and, in doing so, to help combat malnutrition and undernutrition among children, improve health care for pastoral and rural population groups and ensure long-term access to drinking water. Due to the particular urgency, the project is being implemented as an expedited procedure in accordance with paragraph 47 of the FC/TC guidelines. The recipient and project sponsor of the measure is the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The project comprises three components: food security, health, and water and sanitation. The measures include infrastructure, benefits in kind and further training. The FC funding contribution is EUR 10.0 million. The stock audit covers a further volume of EUR 10.0 million. The implementation period is 12 months.
