Description

The aim of the FC project is to provide improved access to school education for Syrian refugee children in Turkey. The project is being implemented by UNICEF as part of the overarching initiative Preventing a lost generation in Turkey. Monthly incentive payments for around 12,000 Syrian teachers will be paid from Phase V project funds for the 2020/21 school year. As a result, around 300,000 schoolchildren will benefit from the project. In addition, accompanying Corona support measures are being implemented to cushion the negative consequences of the Corona pandemic in the education sector. These include catch-up classes for reintegration into school operations, psychosocial support measures and support for the implementation of hygiene concepts in schools in areas with a high Covid-19 prevalence. The project is part of the Middle East employment initiative as part of the special initiative Combating the causes of flight, reintegrating refugees.
